She served as the featured reporter on The Keith Olbermann Evening News. Flanagan worked as a reporter at ESPN between 2000-2006. She reported on college football for ESPN sidelines from 2000 until 2006. She was a sideline journalist on the sidelines of College World Series, Women's Tennis Association's Tour Championships men's college football and NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament. Flanagan covered the Lakers Dodgers Angels UCLA USC Chargers as well as Dodgers, also a SportsCenter journalist. She covered the NCAA Men's Basketball championship as well as college football bowls and the spring training of the NBA. Co-hosting The Home Depot College Football Awards, ESPN Classic Road Shows and also a segment on SportsCenter called "Hollywood The Highlights".
