Whitney Elizabeth Houston was the youngest child of the singer Dionne Warswick, and gospel music star Cissy Houston. Whitney Elizabeth Houston grew up in a musical household. When she was a little girl, Houston began singing professionally in her church's choir. She sang backing vocals for Chaka Khosn's single from 1978 Im Every Woman with her mother. In 1981, she briefly worked as a fashion model and appeared on the Seventeen Cover. She also provided back vocals for Lou Rawls and Jermaine. She won her first six Grammys. The album that followed it in 1987 Whitney featuring the hit songs The Place Do Broken Hearts Go and I Wanna Dance With Somebody built upon her successes, but it was the 1992 film The Bodyguard (1992) that established her as one of the best-selling artists ever. The film and her part in it was not well received, but the soundtrack as well as her version to Dolly's I Will Always Love You was a hit for a few months at the top of the charts. In all, she sold over 44 million albums and singles all over the world. Also in 1993 when she got married Bobby Brown, an ex-New Edition musician and father of the sole child of her marriage, Bobbi Kristina Brown. Around this time the drug use was well-documented and she began using daily in 1996.

Dana Bash, also known by the name Dana Ruth Schwartz, is an American anchorwoman and journalist. She serves as a political correspondent at CNN. Her weekend programs are Evans & Novak Late Edition, Inside Politics and Inside Politics. Her awards and accolades include inclusion in the "The Women in Washington Power List" by Elle magazine.
