Whitney Houston and Dana Bash
Whitney Elizabeth Houston, born 9 August 1963, to an incredibly musical family from Newark New Jersey is the daughter of Gospel star Cissy Houston and John Russell Houston Jr. Also, she is the sister of the singer Dionne Warwick. In her early years, she sang in her New Hope Baptist Church choir in Newark. When she was 15, Houston had sung professionally with backing vocals alongside her mother in Chaka Khan's song from 1978 Im Every Woman. The singer went on to sing back vocals to Jermaine and Lou Rawls as well as her mother, and also worked briefly as models for the front cover of Seventeen magazine in the year 1981. Her singing with band from New York Material brought attention to major record labels which included Arista. They signed her with Arista in 1983 and spent the remainder of her career. Whitney Houston was her debut album. Whitney Houston was released in 1985, and was the most-seller album of the debut artist. Her album featured several hits such as How Will I Know You Give Good Love, Saving All My Love For you and The greatest Love of All. It helped her achieve seven US chart-topping singles consecutively which beat the Beatles. The album's initial US year the album has sold in excess of 3 million units. Then it went on to be bought by over more than 25 million worldwide, earning her her first Grammy. Whitney was her first album. Whitney which came out in 1987, featuring smash tracks What Do Broken Hearts go? and I Wanna Dance With Somebody, continued her earlier success. But it is The Bodyguard (1996) that cemented her position as the top selling album in music. The movie and her role as a character was not well received, but the music and her interpretation to Dolly's I Will Always Love You were charting for months on the charts and she sold more than 44 million singles and albums across the globe. It was also in 1993 that she married Bobby Brown, an ex-New Edition musician who gave her sole daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown. It was about this time when her well-documented substance abuse began. By 1996 she was a daily user.
Dana Bash is also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz and she is employed by CNN as an anchorwoman, reporter, and political correspondent. Her programs on Saturdays are Evans & Novak Late Edition, Inside Politics and Inside Politics. Bash is the recipient of many honors and awards. Elle magazine once listed her in the Women in Washington Power List. Bash is renowned for her incredible anchoring/reporting abilities and she's loved by the younger journalists. The George Washington University graduate is an extremely loving mom of a son. She's been had two marriages. She's currently unmarried. Bash is a strong, independent and tough woman.
